Summary Two miscreants robbed her of cash, pearl necklace, senate ID and credit cards

(Web Desk) – Canadian woman senator, Salma Attaullah Jan was robbed on Tuesday night in F6 Markaz by two unidentified men who approached the Mardan-hailing lawmaker on a motorcycle.

According to the politician, the miscreants grabbed her bag which contained her Canadian senate ID, Rs 62,000 and $4,200 cash, credit cards and a pearl necklace, and fled the scene.

Jan has lodged a First Information Report with the police however, no arrests have been made in the case until filing of this report.

The senator was elected to the Canadian House in 2010 and belongs to a politically active family that once was affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Her father, Saranjam Khan was a known figure of the federally ruling party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa however, he developed differences with the leadership of the organisation and parted ways in February 2012.
