Summary Justice Ejaz ul-Hassan wrote that Nawaz Sharif's tall claims of facing accountability proved hollow

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Justice Ejaz ul-Hassan has written in his detailed verdict that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif had made tall claims about facing accountability but those claims proved hollow, reported Dunya News.

In his verdict, Justice Ejaz wrote that despite 36 hearings it couldn’t be determined who was the owner of Mayfair flats. He wrote that Nawaz Sharif’s ownership of the flats through his sons couldn’t be ruled out.

Justice Ejaz wrote that Nawaz Sharif and his sons, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, didn’t reject the charges but they didn’t provide the court with the proofs of their innocence either. He added that it was unfortunate that PM and his sons didn’t provide the court with satisfactory answers.

He added that PM must provide the proof of his ownership and the money trail as well while Hussain Nawaz will also have to declare the sources with which he set up mills in Saudi Arabia.

He further stated that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman proved to be partial during the hearing. In addition, the honourable judge highlighted the need to set up the system of accountability on all levels. He cleared that the nation must know whether its rulers were fit to rule or not.
