KARACHI (Dunya News) – Security forces on Wednesday have apprehended a suspect who records video of census team in Karachi.
Acting on a tip-off received, security agencies conducted a raid in Karachi’s Gulberg area and arrested the suspect who was identified as Danish Jameel.
The officers have also confiscated religious books, diary and other material written in Hindi language from his possession.
Superintendent of police in Gulberg revealed that the detainee has visited India for eight times.
It is suspected that Danish was in continuous contact with someone in India, he added.
Police officer further said that experts are being consulted for the translation of the writings whereas Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and intelligence agencies would also be approached in this regard.
Earlier, at least one policeman sustained severe injuries while the suspect also got wounded in an attack on census team in Harichand area, Charsadda.
