ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior, Chaudry Nisar Ali khan has revealed that the government will ban social media networks if they failed to censor content deemed blasphemous.
Chaudhry Nisar revealed that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will also ban websites that won’t help the government in its latest crackdown on online blasphemy.
"Those who refuse to cooperate will be banned," warns the federal minister.
He let it be known that no compromise over terrorism and blasphemy would be made whatsoever.
Chaudhry Nisar also revealed that software would soon be made to identify websites that are involved in online blasphemy.
