KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Mayor on Wednesday claimed that he had fulfilled his promised of cleaning the city while reality looks a lot different.
Streets of Karachi with sewerage water appear no less than Venice. Piles of garbage on roads and corners too reflect the images of mountains in Norway and Switzerland.
It appears as if Waseem Akhtar has been daydreaming. His claim that the 100-day cleanliness campaign in Karachi has been successful left many surprised.
Manzoor Colony, PIB, Liaqatabad, Korangi, Malir and other areas remain untouched in the campaign as the city is still polluted with garbage and sewerage water.
Karachi Mayor has been complaining about not having enough powers. However, people asked that if he lacks powers then why he made such promises earlier.
