Gujranwala: Two terrorists arrested during CTD operation
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) apprehended two terrorists during operation in Gujranwala.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out an operation in Gujranwala and arrested two terrorists of a banned outfit, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
The CTD sources said that the arrested terrorists belonged to banned outfit Daesh (also known as ISIL, Islamic State, or ISIS) and were identified as Ismael Khalil and Zubair.
Explosive material and two detonators were also recovered from their possession. The arrested Daesh operatives were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested terrorists informed the CTD personnel that they were planning to target sensitive installation in Gujrat. Further investigation is going on.
