The Rangers apprehended around 400 suspects during a house-to-house search operation in Faqeer Clonoy and shifted them to undisclosed location for interrogation, Dunya News reported on Tuesday. The Rangers closed link roads to Faqeer Colony and Muscat Colony in the most sensitive area of Orangi Town and kicked off door-to-door search operation. As many as 1,000 Ranger personnel participated in the operation that lasted for 8 hours. The operation was started when the people leaving their homes for offices and workplaces in the the working class area. The locals said that more than 600 persons have been arrested. Orangi Town is currently the largest slum in South Asia, comprising 3.5million people. It is said to be the hub of targeted killing in the recent past.
