The claims to converting Islamabad's largest F-9 park into solar park were laid to waste
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – The claims by the government to turn the largest park of the city F-9 Park into solar park have failed to realise. Although there was an inauguration of the project worth millions of rupees yet the park is still in darkness, reported Dunya News.
The park where 3400 solar panels had been set up with a budget of Rs 480 million is still in dark. The project was probably inaugurated for the sake of photo session only as even after one month of the installation of panels, the park is still in dark and no lights are lit at night.
WAPDA has already given up on the project and the solar panels are also making fun of the citizens, it seems. The citizens say that most of the cars go back looking at the park in darkness while the common people coming here for a walk also remain worried about their security.
Officials were requested to tell us the reason behind the failure but no one was ready to tell why the project worth millions of rupees was inaugurated in such a hurry.
