Three dead, several missing after boat capsizes in Ravi

NANKANA SAHIB (Dunya News) – Three persons have died while several have gone missing after a boat enroute to Okara capsized in River Ravi near Nankana on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner of Nankana, Saira Umar has confirmed that three bodies were recovered and over 100 persons rescued while operation has been halted until morning.

Umar said that at least 100 persons were onboard a boat that could only accommodate 60 people. Whereas, eye-witnesses have contradicted the statement by claiming that at least 200 persons were onboard and motorcycles were also been shipped.
