The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the objections raised by Justice (r) Abdul Hameed Dogar against the composition of bench to hear the contempt of court case against the PCO judges. A four-member bench, headed by Justice Mehmood Akhtar Siddqui heard the case. During the course of hearing, counsel of Justice Dogar, Ibrahim Satti argued that his client is still enjoying the privileges and perks including pension and other benefits meant for a retired chief justice of Pakistan. Advocate Ibrahim further stated that it was judges duty to dispense justice even if bullets are fired on them. He told the court that Justice Dogars intra-court appeal was returned by the Registrar , who said that there was no contempt case against him. The case was deferred till tomorrow (Jan 13).
