Funeral prayer of Maulana Saleemullah offered at Jamia Farooqia
Maulana Saleemullah had passed away on Sunday at the age of 96 after long illness.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The funeral prayer of Maulana Saleemullah Khan, President of Wafaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, has been offered by a large number of people at Jamia Farooqia, Shah Faisal Colony on Monday.
The body has now been moved to Hub River Road where funeral prayer will be held once again after Zohar and burial will take place.
Maulana Saleemullah had passed away on Sunday at the age of 96 after long illness.
Maulana founded Jamia Farooqia, Karachi in 1967 and served religion for about half a century as a teacher.
Due to his selfless services, Maulana Saleemullah Khan was appointed as a higher ranked Nazim of Wafaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia in 1980.
Maulana improved the examination system of Wafaq, included Hadith sessions in it and developed higher levels of religious education as well.
It was due to Maulana’s efforts and long term negotiations that Ministry of Federal Education Islamabad declared the degrees of Wafaq equivalent to M.A, B.A, Intermediate, Matriculation, Middle and Primary degrees.
