Summary

As the three-day mourning by PPP on Salman Taseers killing, the PML-N is again out with fresh warnings to those at the helm of calling off the alliance in the province, if demands remained unmet. The PML-N sound to be rigid about their deadline of 6 days it set for the PPP government. PML-N senator Pervaiz Rasheed warned that in case PM Gilani did not say yes on their demands, Punjab Chief Minister would kick out the PPP ministers from the Punjab cabinet and issue a notification in this regard on January 10. In the meantime, PPP senior minister Raja Riaz fired back at PML-N and said that the PML-N would themselves make a PPP-PML-Q alliance if they ended their coalition with his party. Raja further said that PPP pursued policy of reconciliation and would continue to do so. If they sack us from the cabinet, we will deliberate whether to join Opposition or support the government silently, the minister said.
