Summary NAB starts working only when Supreme Court takes notice, SC demands answers from NAB
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) has on Thursday asked National Accountability Bureau (NAB) if the army men working in the institution working there legally. SC remarked that NAB was bent on doing nothing and would do something only when notice taken by SC, reported Dunya News.
The hearing regarding the illegal appointments in NAB was conducted today. The issue of military officers present in NAB was handed to the establishment division.
NAB lawyer Hashmat Habib said that the threats to NAB officers hindered the accountability process.
Ordering a report within one month from Establishment Division Secretary, the court also directed the establishment division to look into the matter of the appointments, transfers and officers on deputation.
