Prime Minister has directed to hold discussions with Parliamentary leaders to review the petroleum prices. There is a chance of decrease in prices of petroleum products.According to the sources, the government has started consideration in reducing the prices of petroleum products after oppositions pressure. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has directed Minister for Petroleum Naveed Qamar to have a discussion with all the Parliamentary leaders. While the officials of Ministry of Petroleum and Ministry of Finance will give a briefing to the PM tomorrow. In this briefing, a formula will be devised through which the petrol prices will be adjusted by reducing taxes. On the other side, Minister of Petroleum will discuss with Parliamentary leaders upon the effects of subsidy being given in order to decrease the petrol prices.
