Summary
Power shortfall is continued in the country due to which urban and rural areas are facing 6 to 9 hours loadshedding respectively across the country.According to Ministry of Water and Power, the system is facing 2,382MW shortfall. The total production of power is 9830 mega watt and total consumption is 12,212MW, which is causing loadshedding. The country is getting 1431MW from Thermal power, 5696MW from IPPs, 2641MW from Hydel power and 62MW from rental powers.
