LAHORE (Dunya News) – Government of Punjab is to appoint professors, associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers on 6,634 vacant seats in government educational institutions.

Sources privy to the government have reported that there are around 6,634 vacancies in educational institutes across Punjab. The appointments of teachers would be made through Punjab Public Service Commission.

Earlier on December 21, Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif met with students from Gwadar at CM house in Model Town.

On the occasion, a student named Yasmeen from Government Degree College in Gwadar complained during meeting with the Chief Minister over allegedly neglecting students of Gwadar regarding education.

“China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is being built in Gwadar then why all the focus of development is Lahore?,” asked the student.

However, Punjab CM replied that progress in Lahore was not attained in one or two days but many decades of hard work went into it. He further suggested that Balochistan would develop through projects under CPEC.
