A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking disqualification of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik for his inability to recite Surah Ikhlas during a Cabinet meeting, Dunya News reported on Friday. The petition has been filed by Advocate Tariq Asad, an SC lawyer, who argued that the minister could not recite the verses of Holy Quran correctly and thereby got ineligible for the ministership under the Article 63. The Federal government and Chairman Senate are made party in the case.
