Summary All 48 persons onboard were killed in the crash
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Famed religious scholar, Junaid Jamshed was laid to rest on Thursday in Darul Uloom after he died in a plane crash on December 7 besides his wife.
High-level officials of Pakistan Army, civil representatives, religious scholars, politicians, notable cricketers among scores of people participated in the funeral prayer that was offered today.

The body was shifted from Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Shifa to Karachi Development Authority (KDA) using an ambulance where a funeral prayer was offered. The prayer was led by cleric, Maulana Tariq Jameel.
The prayer meet was secured through tiers of law enforcement agencies.
Junaid Jamshed was killed on December 7 when an ATR aircraft went down near Havelian after an alleged technical snag. The flight took off from Chitral carrying 43 passengers and five of crew and was scheduled to land at Benazir International Airport at around 05:30pm.
All 48 persons onboard were killed in the crash.
All the bodies were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) using assets of the rescue department and Pakistan Army where DNA samples of grieving relatives were taken to run tests for confirmation before handing them over the bodies.
Jamshed’s late wife, Nayha’s funeral prayer was also offered today in Lahore while that of a passenger was offered in Malakand and another in Rawalpindi.
