TURBAT (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday inaugurated N-85 Surab-Hoshab road in Turbat.

While addressing the ceremony, PM Nawaz said that they have decided to change the history as the dream of Balochistan’s prosperity was being realized with completion of several development projects.

He described completion of this vital project as making of new Balochistan which means the creation of a new Pakistan.

“A new and developed Balochistan means a new Pakistan, with an unprecedented progress never took place in history,” the Prime Minister said.

He criticized his opponents and said that they can only level accusations but cannot serve the nation.

PM Nawaz pronounced that those who damage traditions are infact the culprits of history.

“The nation will decide who is serving them and who is playing with their sentiments in General Elections 2018,” he said.

He expressed the confidence that its completion would create enormous economic and commercial activities and help overcome the challenge of poverty, backwardness, ignorance and unemployment in the region.

“With completion of every new road in Balochistan comes another ray of hope of a promising future for the people of province,” he said, adding that a strong communication network would pave way for building of schools, universities and hospitals.

The premier regretted that Balochistan remained neglected in the past but the present government is fully resolved to bring it at part with other province. He said development and progress is the right of people of Balochistan and it is duty of the government to give them this right.

The Prime Minister said Balochistan has been bestowed with immense natural resources exploitation of which cannot only change fate of the province but also the country. He said CPEC and development of Gwadar would prove to be game changer for the province, the country and the entire region.



He said that developmental activities are visible in each and every corner of the country. A number of motorways, highways and roads besides bridges and other infrastructure projects are being undertaken in different areas. 

He said a number of power plants are coming up and as a consequence the country would get rid of the menace of load-shedding.

The Prime Minister said his Government is pursuing the path of economic development while its opponents are only indulging in negative politics.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister announced construction of Hoshab-Avaran-Lasbela road, to be jointly financed by the Federal and the Provincial Governments.

The four hundred and forty-eight kilometer road has been completed at a cost of approximately Rs22 billion by Frontier Works Organization. It comprises of sixteen bridges and 1502 culverts.

The project links Gwadar Port with National Highway network (N-25) near Surab, Quetta and other parts of the country.

It will provide shortest link to Afghanistan and other Central Asian countries with Gwadar Port.

With the completion of this project, the vital North-South road connectivity has also been completed.

The project is an important part of the Western Corridor of CPEC.
