Cologne, Paris: 520 passengers still could not reach London
Even after two days, 320 passengers at the Cologne Airport, Germany and more than 200 passengers in Paris Airport are still unable to reach London. PIA officials claim that both these diverted flights will depart for Stansted Airport around 2 am, which is close to London.The scheduled flights of PIA PK 757 from Lahore and PK 785 from Islamabad departed for London on Saturday. As the weather conditions in London were unstable, PK 757 was then diverted to Cologne Airport, Germany; where as PK 785 made an emergency landing in Paris Airport. PIA administration then contacted officials of Germany and France and provided them with stay after 24 hours of landing on Sunday and on Monday at around 5pm (PST), they sent all the passengers to the airport from hotel. PIA officials state that as soon as the weather gets better, flights will then depart for London. Manchester bound flight PK 701 departed from Karachi at 3 am and was also diverted to Istanbul. There were 160 passengers travelling in this flight. PIA has also cancelled the flights leaving for London from Lahore and Islamabad respectively. While on the other side, flights coming from London to Lahore and Islamabad are already delayed for two days.
