KARACHI (Dunya News) – Five employees of irrigation department were detained while a water cannon used by police to disperse them as they demonstrated a protest outside the press club for their demands.
Police resorted to use of snorkel and baton-charge after the protesters started marching towards Sindh Assembly.
At least five protesters were held during the clash for not budging. Dissatisfied employees of the government demanded the authorities to employ children of their colleagues who had lost lives while performing duties.
They also demanded the government to facilitate the employees with timely promotion and all the allowances as per the law.
