Summary Curbing unemployment was one of the priorities of the government, says the premier

KAHUTA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has criticised his political opponents on Friday by saying that the one who cussed and disrespected others could not be a leader.

The premier addressed a rally in Kahuta which was also attended by Minister for Petroleum, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi among other representatives of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Referring to chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, the premier said that those who endorse politics of sit-ins wished to put Pakistan on regression. He said that political opponents of the ruling party were not able to ‘digest’ progress made by the country in last three years.

Nawaz Sharif said that different political parties were fearing the fact that PML-N could clinch another five-year term in the government if the rate of development continues until General Elections 2018.

The government devised policies that effectively targeted extremism and eliminated banned outfits that were operational in the country. It was in the tenure of PML-N that Kashmir dispute was raised in United Nations Organisation (UNO), he said and added that Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and Pakistan Railways were put back on the track.

The premier said that curbing unemployment was one of the priorities of the government.

While censuring claims of other political organisations, Nawaz Sharif rhetorically asked why Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not construct roads during its tenure.

However, he said that no political party that apparently wished to halt development in the country could succeed in its ill-motives.

Towards the end of the his address, the premier announced to allocate Rs 500 million tomorrow for the people of Kahuta if Khaqan Abbasi and local leaders put together a plan to promote tourism there.

The Prime Minister also announced to upgrade all primary schools to higher secondary schools.
