Summary Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Federal Government filed the review petition
Islamabad (Dunya News) – Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Federal Government filed a review petition against Supreme Court’s verdict, reported Dunya News.
It was declared in the verdict that CM could not by-pass the cabinet. However, the federal government is its review petition was of the view that after 18th Amendment, a thorough discussion over the matter is needed and that the National Assembly was a sovereign body.
It was further mentioned in the review petition that CM is answerable to the National Assembly in any case, hence there was no point discussing the point of by-passing the cabinet.
The Federal Government formally asked Supreme Court to review its decision over the matter.
