Pakistanis protest against Altaf Hussain's anti-Pakistan remarks in New York
Majority of the protesters were from Karachi.
NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Pakistanis in New York protested outside British consulate against anti-Pakistan slogans and statements of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Husain.
A large number of Pakistanis attended the protest and demanded that Altaf Hussain should be handed over to Pakistan.
The protesters while holding placards having anti- Altaf Hussain phrases chanted Pakistan Zindabad.
Majority of the protesters were from Karachi.
While talking to Dunya News, PASNY president Fazl-ul-Haq said that Altaf Hussain is not a representative of Muhajir but leader of a political party.
He said that Altaf Hussain has insulted Urdu speaking through his anti-Pakistan statements.
Community leader Ashraf Azmi told that he belongs to Karachi from where the anti-Pakistan slogan was raised therefore; it is his duty that they should raise Pakistan Zindabad slogan in reply to it.
A lawyer from Karachi Waheed Hussaini said that anti-Pakistan slogan is an act of terrorism.
Brooks Community leader Shabir Gull was of the view that all Urdu speaking Pakistanis have rejected those chanting Pakistan Murdabad.
The protesters urged the British government to deport such people who are involved in conspiring against Pakistan while sitting in Britain.
