SC forms bench to hear pleas of PCO judges

A 5-member bench of the Supreme Court has been constituted for the hearing of contempt of court case against the non-functional PCO judges of the higher courts. The bench comprises on Justice Sair Ali, Justice Shahid Siddiqi, Justice Jawad S. Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Pervez. The bench will start hearing of pleas of PCO judges from November 30. The SC had issued contempt of court notices to those judges who took oath under PCO violating the order of the Supreme Court and most of the judges had asked for unconditional apology. However, some of the judges preferred to face the court and these judges were made non-functional.
