Summary At least eight accused were arrested during security forces search operation in Karachi on Monday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Crackdown against criminal elements in Karachi continues as law enforcement agencies apprehended eight accused, including two activists of a political party, during search operation in different parts of the city on Monday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the law enforcement agencies carried out a search operation in Sultanabad area and arrested two workers of a political party who were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.

On the other hand, Ittehad Town Police carried out a search operation in the area and apprehended five accused. Police sources said that one Lyari gang accused and three street criminals were among the arrested persons. Mominabad police have also arrested an accused, Ghulam Qadir, after an encounter.

Meanwhile, some unidentified persons opened fire in Permi Colony in Korangi Industrial area in the jurisdiction on Landhi Police Station and injured three people. The injured were identified as Salman, Abdul Wahab and Suleman.
