Summary

The Constitutional Reforms Committee (CRC) , in the light of Supreme Courts decision, has decided to come up 19th Amendment in the Parliament for amendment of Article 175-A relating to the appointment of judges. The meeting of the Constitutional Reforms Committee held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Mian Raza Rabbani in which present procedures of judges appointment in the constitution were reviewed. It was decided in the meeting that they should present 19th Amendment in the Parliament instead of pondering over current procedures of judges appointment. The draft of the 19th Amendment would be prepared in the next meeting on December 1.
