Summary Provinces will be consulted over amendment in Criminal Code Act, the meeting observed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities to examine feasibility of establishment of a National Endowment Fund for families of the martyrs who laid their lives in war on terror, reported Thursday.

The Prime Minister chaired a key session of the cabinet in the federal capital.
The premier ordered steps towards establishment of a fund scheme for the wellbeing of martyrs’ families and education of their children. A policy should be presented before the federal cabinet, the Prime Minister said.
The premier also discussed different projects under construction under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and progress in development of Gwadar Port Authority.
PM Nawaz said that had the country started exploiting Tharparkar Coal reserves in the past, we would have been exporting energy today. He directed authorities for timely completion of CPEC projects.
The cabinet also approved going through with several understandings including those with Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan regarding defense cooperation and exchange of prisoners.
Meanwhile, policy about construction of cheaper houses with cooperation of private sector was also given a formal nod by the cabinet.
The Prime Minister-chaired meeting decided to consult provinces over amendment in Criminal Code Act.
