KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement s (MQM) senior leader Dr. Farooq Sattar on Wednesday said that Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar were staging fake political differences over Rangers’ policing powers, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media during commencement of street cleaning campaign by welfare organisation near NIPA Chowrangi, Sattar said that Murad and Nisar should come up with a solution in accordance with their as well as peoples’ consent.
He expressed reservations and said that despite representing a vast majority of people on grass root level, MQM was taken into confidence regarding any case.
He also said that Rangers should be given policing powers across the country including Karachi and Sindh. A Supervising committee should also be established to review Rangers operation and powers, he added.
