Local govts finalise security plan for Eid-ul-Fitr in various cities

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Security plan for Eid-ul-Fitr has been finalized in Quetta as the authorities have decided to deploy more than 2,000 Frontier Corps (FC) and police personnel at sensitive places, reported on Tuesday.

Deputy Inspector General Manzoor Sarwar said that 1700 officers would be deputed outside shopping malls, mosques and bazaars after Asar.

He said security officers in normal dress would also be on patrolling in different areas whereas special checkposts would also been formed.

On the other hand, pillion riding has also been banned in Dera Ismail Khan for 30 days in a wake of security concerns whereas relaxation has been given on Eid days.

Meanwhile, control room has been established in Islamabad to monitor all the situation while emergency has also been declared in government hospitals.
