LHC moved for judicial inquiry into coup against Nawaz

A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court seeking judicial inquiry into the coup that dislodged Nawaz Sharifs government in Oct 12, 1999, Dunya News reported on Monday. Advocate Rana Alamud Din Ghazi held General (r) Pervez Musharraf responsible for the coup against a democratic government and made former president Rafique Tarar, Gen Ziauddin and 62 others parte in the case. The petitioner asked the court to hold a judicial probe into the matter and take the accused to task.
