Summary Government may find its way out of all the trouble caused by Panama Leaks through the move
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In an attempt to deal with all the trouble caused by the Panama Leaks issue and to bring the investment present in offshore companies back to the country, the government is planning to make offshore companies in Pakistan, reported Dunya News.
Investments worth billions shall be made in the country as a result of the move whereas the names of the investors shall be kept confidential.
According to Dunya News’ sources, a law shall be introduced in the country through which the creation of offshore companies would be possible.
The law shall be made after consultation among the Law Ministry, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR).
The investment made by Pakistani nationals in foreign offshore companies shall be curbed as a result of creating offshore companies within the country whereas the government may also be able to find its way out of the Panama Leaks issue.
The offshore companies will get a chance to invest in the country as well as investing in the economic zones of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
