MQM rejects Minhaj Qazi's allegations
Criticism on MQM's various bank accounts was a part of media trial: MQM
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior convener Farooq Sattar on Friday rejected the allegations levelled by Minhaj Qazi regarding its various bank accounts, reported Dunya News.
Addressing a press conference at Khurshid Begum Secretariat, Sattar said that MQM had been tried in Hakeem Muhammad Saeed’s case seeking support through Minaj Qazi’s video statement, reported Dunya News.
He said that all MQM workers arrested in Muhammad Saeed’s case had already been acquitted by Sindh High Court and Supreme Court (SC). Allegations of MQM holding various bank accounts and criticism on the party in this regard was a part of media trial and conspiracy against MQM chief, Sattar said.
Video statements of the suspects detained by law enforcement agencies was equivalent to mock country’s constitution and law, MQM leader added. He also said that MQM protested against Saulat Mirza, Minhaj Qazi, Khalid Shameem and Dr. Asim’s video statements which had surfaced on the media.
