Teenager pulls M-16 rifle during road rage incident in Peshawar

The incident occurred on Cantt Road in Peshawar.

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - A road rage incident spiraled out of control when an armed motorist confronted a motorcyclist in Cantt area of Peshawar today (Friday).

In the video recorded by a pedestrian, the driver of a white Toyota car, bearing a government number plate B-5258, pulled behind the motorcyclist on the roadside and the argument over wrong ‘overtake’ turned into a fist fight.



During the altercation, the car owner pulled a 9mm pistol while two teenage boys, one of them armed with an M-16 rifle came out of the vehicle.

It could be seen in the video that the boy fired two bullets but the motorcyclist luckily missed those shots.



Later, locals mediated to control the situation.

An FIR was registered unde Section 506 at Cantt Police Station on a complaint filed by motorcyclist Rahat.

According to sources, the person travelling in the car has been identified as Imran, a political moharrar in Kurram Agency.

SP Peshawar Cantt Kashif Zulfiqar asserted that car’s number plate was fake and the authorities are trying to trace the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai has assured full cooperation in the case.
