Houses crammed with filthy water after breach in Peshwar's nullah

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Several houses in Peshwar’s Shero Jhangi area were filled with filthy water after a crack appeared in a nullah on Thursday.

The water entered in more than 30 houses creating severe problems for the residents. The streets have also been inundated, making the movement difficult for people.



Besides this, the pungent odor spread in the area is intensely irking the people.

The residents have complained the relevant authorities but no official has still reached the scene.



The residents have said that outbreak of various diseases is feared due to the nullah’s filthy water.

Atleast two people were killed when sign boards, trees, walls and roofs of several houses fell down in Dala Zak, Faqir Kali, Kalshal, Charsadda Road and University Town after heavy rain lashed Peshawar.
