QUETTA (Dunya News) – Young Doctors and Paramedics Association has continued their protest on sixteenth day in Quetta for the acceptance of demands, reported on Friday.
The doctors across the province have boycotted OPDs and emergencies for about two months while the local administration is not taking any step in this regard.
The ongoing protest is creating problems for the patients coming from far away areas who have demanded the authorities to resolve the matter as early as possible.
On the other hand, the government is appealing to protesters to call off sit-in but the doctors and paramedics are urging to first issue notification regarding acceptance of their demands.
They have also warned of intensifying the strike if government fails to address their reservations.
The demand approval notice was to be issued in 48 hours however; the matter is still pending even after 16 days.
The medical practitioners are seeking approval of service structure and allowance as promised by the provincial government.
