Raid on Farooq Sattar residence: MQM to observe protest day today
The MQM has announced to observe Day of protest against Rangers raid at Farooq Sattar residence.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to observe a day of protest across Sindh today (Wednesday) against Rangers raid at the residence of Dr Farooq Sattar, Dunya News reported.
The protest call has been given by the MQM’s Coordination Committee who also appealed the people of Sindh to keep their businesses shut and transport off the road in protest against Rangers raid at Dr Farooq Sattar residence on Tuesday night.
A heavy contingent of Rangers surrounded the street and residence of MQM deputy convener Dr Farooq Sattar situated in Karachi’s PIB Colony. Dr Farooq Sattar was present in the house at the time of the raid.
A Rangers spokesman said that the raid at the residence of Dr Farooq Sattar was carried out on a tip-off that two suspects, including MPA Kamran Farooqi, present at his residence. The Rangers spokesman further said that no arrest was made in the raid.
