Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that houses would be built for 2 million flood affectees and electricity and fertilizer would be provided to those farmers having less than 25 acres of land. Addressing a ceremony in Zamindar College Gujrat, the PM said that floods destroyed live stocks and college of live stocks Gujrat should be completed at the earliest. Gilani said the government was committed to work collectively to root out terrorism, alleviate poverty, improve law and order and tackle the challenges of inflation, unemployment and power shortages. Senator Nawabzada Gul said that the government has seized land of nationalized Agricultural College Gujrat. On this, CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that your partys government had occupied the land. On this, PM Gilani said that past mistakes committed by PPP should be compensated by the CM. He said nationalization of educational institutions was a mistake and wrongs of the policy would be undone. The Prime Minister announced a grant of Rs. 50 million for Zamindar College to improve facilities besides giving orders for setting up of a livestock institute in the area.
