Karachi: Case registered against MQM chief, 10 leaders

FIR against Rauf Siddiqui, Wasim Akhtar, Kanwar Naveed, others registered in Brigade police station

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A First Information Report (FIR) against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain and ten other leaders of the party has been registered on the basis of threatening the officials of intelligence agencies during speeches conducted within the vicinity of Brigade police station in Karachi, reported Dunya News on Saturday.

The FIR has been registered on behalf of the government whereas articles related to treason and counter-terrorism have also been included in it along with one article catering to the Telegraphic Act.

Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain along with party leaders, including Dr Farooq Sattar, Rauf Siddiqui, Wasim Akhtar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Kanwar Naveed Jamil and others, have been named in the case.
