An ambulance shifted Ghazala to Nishtar Hospital for blood tests. Nishtar Medical College’s Principal Dr Kamran Salik said that it was important to know if Ghazala has other medical conditions and if so which ones.
He further said that such a patient starts to lose weight within six months to a year if optimum treatment was provided.
Earlier on Friday, a team of medics paid a visit to her at her house and inquired about her condition. The woman reportedly, has not lain down for as many as ten years. Ghazala supports her back with a couple of pillows and she falls asleep while sitting.
She cannot lie down due to excessive fat.
Dunya News raised the issue and for Ghazala’s happiness, the government took notice.
Another such step taken by the channel has neared its happy ending as ‘solar kids’ were treated at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). ‘Solar kids’ hailing from Quetta led night-less lives as they used to turn ‘half-dead’ after sunsets.
However, the brothers spent first active night of their lives at PIMS.
