QUETTA (Dunya News) – Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Friday defused an improvised explosive device (IED) in Quetta.
According to police, the remote-controlled bomb weighing 4kg was placed near passport office at Joint Road in a metal box.
BDS and police officials reached the scene immediately on getting information.
Police while cordoning off the area blocked the road for traffic.
Meanwhile in Hyderabad, fear spread among the residents on the information of bomb near Poonam petrol pump.
BDS personnel searched the shopping bag but no bomb was found in it.
Police clarified that some unidentified men, just for creating panic, placed a cement slab wrapped with red tape in the shopping bag.
