Govt to launch covert operation in Karachi: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that serious action would be taken against the terrorists in Karachi but it would be kept secret. He said that Coast Guards would be given special anti-terrorism powers to stop the escape of terrorists. After a high level meeting on Karachi situation, he said that 3,000 security personnel will be recruited in Sindh Women Police to normalize the law and order situation in Karachi. He said that all political parties have been taken into confidence and policy of reconciliation would be continued. On this occasion, Sindh Interior Minister Zulfiqar Mirza said that Ghotki police have killed the most wanted dacoit Qadri Chachar.
