FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – The city’s administration surrendered before the protesting flat residents of the Koh-i-Noor flats who were demonstrating on Monday as the administration decided to raze the deteriorating structure in which they were living which is feared to collapse soon, reported Dunya News.
Member of National Assembly Abdul Manan and the Assistant Commissioner of the city held negotiations with the demonstrators and ensured to fulfill all their valid demands.
Prior to this, the flat residents protested at the Jaranwala Road in scorching conditions. They blocked the road for the whole day and sat beneath a tent which they erected to protect themselves from the heat.
The demonstrators scattered peacefully after they received assurance of the fulfillment of their just demands.
