Talal Chaudhry lambastes Imran and Bilawal

Dunya News

People remember what Khan used to say about Zardari, says PML-N's MNA

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Talal Chaudhry has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan should disclose the condition on which he has befriended Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Dunya News reported Monday.

PML-N’s MNA Chaudhry and Maryam Aurangzeb held a joint press conference in the federal capital today and lambasted PTI chief among other leaders of opposition parties.

He said that Khan addressed a few thousand people at Charing Cross and did not answer ruling party’s questions.

Chaudhry asked why PTI’s secretary general Jahangir Tareen got his debts written-off and Aleem Khan concealed his assets.

He said that Khan was supposed to answer the aforementioned questions posed by the ruling party. He also said that people have not forgotten what Khan used to say about Zardari and how he had criticised him in the past.

The member of National Assembly said that PTI leader celebrated ‘youm-e-ameer’ on the day that signifies ‘youm-e-mazdoor’. He was referring to his rally on May 1 in Lahore. PTI mocked the labourers with their show of extravagance and opulence at Charing Cross last night, he added. He alleged Khan of leaving no stone unturned to save his aides Tareen and others from accountability.

Chaudhry criticised Imran Khan for developing ties with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) leaders Pervez Elahi and Shujaat Hussain whom he used to refer to as ‘Punjab’s biggest dacoits’.

Referring to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the ruling party’s MNA said that those who have not left even manhole covers unsold in Karachi are demanding resignations of the Prime Minister.

Talking about the meeting which is to be held today by opposition parties, Chaudhry said that those who used to allege one another of looting the country are convening a joint session over alleged corruption by the government. Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) also received flak from the government’s representative. "They think that growing beard makes people honest and noble," he said.

They would have to answer how Bank of Khyber fell victim to corruption, he added. All the parties that have been accusing one another of corruption in the past are going to sit together to form Terms of References (TORs) against the government today, Chaudhry said.

PTI chairman Imran Khan had addressed a rally at Charing Cross in Lahore. Punjab government had denied permission to the opposition party earlier while Pakistan Horticulture Authority (PHA) removed flexes on the Mall however, the permission was granted later on.
