Pakistan, Jordan should learn from each other's experiences: COAS
Army Chief praised training standards of the centers and also had conversation with the soldiers
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited Shah Abdullah Special Operations Training Center and inspected practical exercises of Special Operations Forces (SOF) during an official visit to Jordan on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department, General Raheel met with King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein. Mutual interests, regional security and increased cooperation with regard to defence between both countries along with the situation of the Middle East and the entire region was discussed between the two during the meeting.
Abdullah II praised Pakistan army’s achievements in the war against terrorism. Prior to the meeting, General Raheel paid visit to the Shah Abdullah Special Operations Training Center in Jordan where he inspected the training exercises of the Jordanian Special Forces and praised the quality of the training equipment available at the center, according to the ISPR.
While conversing with the soldiers taking part in the exercises, Chief of Army Staff stated that both countries must learn from the experiences of one another in regards to operations against terrorist entities.
