Summary Suspects who were taken in custody include a woman
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Sindh Police Inspector General (IG) AD Khawaja and assured army’s complete support in mission to eradicate terrorism, Dunya News reported Thursday.
COAS Sharif condoled seven police killings and vowed to weed-out terrorism in all provinces. The Chief of Army Staff paid rich tribute to the martyrs.
Seven police who were guarding polio workers were martyred on Wednesday in Orangi Town in two different attacks.
Inspector General AD Khawaja said that General Sharif assured of army s support in fight against terror in Sindh. He said that COAS Sharif s telephone call has lifted Sindh Police s determination to new heights.

General Sharif further offered condolences to the grieving families of the police martyrs.
Law enforcement agencies have detained at least 11 suspects in different raids last night. The detainees were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.

However, polio workers are back in the streets today, continuing their mission of a polio-free Pakistan, a day after the attacks.
Security agencies have vowed to ensure protection of polio teams.
Pakistan is one of only two countries where polio remains endemic. Attempts to eradicate it have been badly hit by militant attacks on immunisation teams that have claimed nearly 80 lives since December 2012.
