President Asif Ali Zardari has refused to accept Governor Sindh Ishrat Ul Ibad Khans resignation. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has also assured the government that Governor Sindh would not resign from his office. In a meeting with the Governor Sindh, held in the President house, President Asif Ali Zardari condemned target-killings in Karachi and assured that those behind the incidents would be brought to justice and would be dealt with iron hands. President also expressed condolence with the bereaved families of those killed in the target-killing incidents. Governor Sindh Ishrat Ul Ibad Khan briefed the President about the incidents that have recently occurred in Karachi as well as the overall law and order situation of the city. President ordered an inquiry against such miscreants and assured the Governor that the government would take such elements to task.
