Hence the appointment should be declared null and void. Prime Minister should have appointed Chairman NAB: Ahsan IqbalTalking to Dunya News, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that it is known that the Supreme Court gave a clear order that the appointment of Chairman NAB should be done in consultation with the opposition leader and the Chief Justice of Pakistan. He also said that the matter gets more complicated with the fact there are cases in NAB against the President while he has appointed his blue-eyed person as the chairman. Ahsan Iqbal opined that if this appointment is considered valid and lawful then every accused should be given this prerogative to choose his favorite as investigation officer.Even if the President had this power, he should have surrendered and asked the Prime Minister to appoint a neutral person in consultation with the opposition leader to fulfill the prerequisites of justice, Ahsan Iqbal added.
