Risalpur: Turkish commander receives Guard of Honour
Pak-Turkey relations not restricted to only govt's, says Turkish Air Force Commander.
RISALPUR (Dunya News) - Turkish Air Force Commander General Abidin Unal received Guard of Honour at the passing out parade of 135th GD pilot and 6 different courses of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in Risalpur on Friday.
Sher Dill Sqaurdon, JF-17 Thunder and Turkish T-37 fighter jets demonstrated flypast during the parade.
The Turkish Air force Commander said that Pak-Turkey relations are not restricted to only the governments. He added that PAF’s role in achieving the national security goals were commendable.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sohail Aman said that Pakistan and Turkey has been facing similar challenges and both countries will stand together in these difficult hours. He also added that he is thankful to Turkish Air Force for supplying T-37 jets.
Turkish Commander presented badges and distributed prizes among the officers. Honourary sword of 135th GD pilot course was awarded to officer Faisal Shehzad.
