Rangers arrest Karachi builder Babar Chughtai
Rangers detained former chairman of Association of Builders and Developers on Wednesday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Former chairman of Association of Builders and Developers (Abad) Babar Chughtai was detained by Rangers during an operation in District East on Wednesday. Babar Chughtai was shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
Babar Chughtai was taken into custody on charges of land grabbing and involvement in china cutting and also patronizing illegal constructions in the city.
On the other hand, police conducted an operation in Mawach Goth and arrested two accused. Police sources said that the arrested persons belonged to Lyari gang war and were involved in several cases of murder.
Police also conducted an operation in Joria Bazar area and arrested six suspects. Police also detained an accused named Shakeel Murad during an operation in Nazimabad. According to police, Shakeel was involved in case of embezzling millions of rupees.
